In this episode Michelle and Lesley take you on a journey as we recount the excitement of growing up in the 70s and 80s. We share our stories of near 💀 experiences, fighting with siblings, getting launched off playground equipment and learning to solve problems without adult mediation. We talk about how having some independence and freedom has built resilience, given us perspective and helped us learn to believe in ourselves and our abilities. We discuss the impact of having knowledge at our fingertips and how this can be helpful and, at times, harmful. Growing up without technology taught us to listen to our intuition and got us away from the egocentrism that our ‘instant’ world can sometimes create. We share our knowledge of how growing up in past eras has supported healthy parenting and the need to rely on the wisdom of those who have gone before us.
Lot’s of good nuggets in this one, you’re not going to want to miss!!
